After downloading
this freeware program, unzip it using PKUNZIP or WINZIP. This is a
small TSR program that prevents any DOS program from spawning
COMMAND.COM. Under Novell Netware, the Network Administrator may
distribute software from the login script by spawning COMMAND.COM to
run a DOS batch file. If you load this TSR before logging-in,
LOGIN.EXE will be unable to run a batch file. IMPORTANT: To insure
that any errors that LOGIN.EXE may generate are NOT displayed on the
monitor screen, this TSR eats all errors that are sent to STDERR, not
only those errors generated by LOGIN.EXE, but errors from any DOS
application that's run on the computer. Therefore, after logging-in
you may want to unload the TSR from memory by typing "CMD
/U" at a DOS prompt.
This program was
last tested under the Novell VLM client and it should work under
Novell's Client32 for DOS. It will not work under Novell's Client32
for Windows.
